Liana Mirea is the president of ACRE-American Commercial Real Estate in Bloomingdale and a volunteer for Resources for Community Living (RCL). Through this organization, Mirea has supported the Annual Gala and Luncheon, Poker Run, and various other activities. Using her realtor skills, she is involved with negotiating affordable housing for RCL's clients. Her giving heart has earned her the Caring Hearts Award.
On March 18, 2008 the Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban of Chicago recognized Mirea at the Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner. Only the top twelve nominees were recognized as top winners; Mirea was one of them. The Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban Chicago is a large organization of volunteers with the goal of enriching lives through volunteerism. This year is their 39th Anniversary.
In 2007, Mirea and ACRE donated their real estate commission, $9,500, so RCL could purchase an office condo at 4300 Lincoln Avenue, Suite J&K in Rolling Meadows.
RCL is a non-profit organization that works with developmentally and/or physically disabled adults and helps them become involved in their community. Established in 1994, RCL offers services in the North/Northwest Cook County area to over 54 clients.
"I joined the RCL Board in 2006 after hearing one client's inspiring story. My goal is to help the growth of this organization so they can offer their valuable services to more people in need," said Mirea.
